The Wolfsonian–Florida International University is a museum and research center that promotes the examination of modern material and visual culture. The focus of the Wolfsonian collection is on North American and European decorative arts, propaganda, architecture, and industrial and graphic design from the period 1850-1950. The collection includes furniture, paintings, sculpture, glass, ceramics, and works on paper. The Wolfsonian library has approximately 50,000 rare books, periodicals, and ephemeral items, as well as standard reference materials.
Since its inception in 1995, our research fellowship program has supported projects in a variety of academic fields to promote independent scholarship on subjects and items found in Wolfsonian holdings. The program is open to holders of master's or doctoral degrees, Ph.D. candidates, and others with a significant record of professional achievement in relevant fields.
